🟠 Indigenous Emu Artwork: “Utingat”

This vibrant design is rich with cultural storytelling and traditional symbolism.

At the centre, an emu with cultural markings is surrounded by its three young chicks, symbolising family, protection, and growth.

The background is filled with meaningful elements:

• A large yellow sun with radiating dots in yellow, orange and red
• A community symbol at the sun’s centre, representing the diverse landscapes and people the emu travels across
• A grey floating feather, a nod to the emu’s nesting behaviour
• Green and brown mountain-like arches
• A blue lined trail symbolising both the emu’s footprints and flowing rivers
• Circles and patterns representing waterholes

Also included are the 2025 year-date and Perth Mint ‘P’ mintmark.

Each detail shares a story of Country, connection, and the emu’s enduring place in First Nations culture.
